Success of your activity is seen when other organisations try to emulate you but unfortunately they give up soon.

Your other activities i.e.creating emvironment awareness and helping about 800 students every year with books and other aids are also remarkable.While campaigning for use of cloth bags you have been providing livelihood to many women who stitch bags which are sold by you in exhibitions.

"January 2016. After we shifted to a new home (Kalyan), we decided one thing (say new year resolution) that we will not put any kind of plastic waste generated in the house to the usual trash. We started storing it separately irrespective of the solution. Later, next year, in january 2017, we were happy to learn about 'Urjaa' and it's plastic waste collection drive in dombivli. We submitted our year long collected plastic waste at drive which eventually was sent for scientific recycling through 'Urjaa'. Since then we have been connected to each other. 'Urjaa' is actively working in various fields such as environment, education and financial literacy. Kudos to all Urjaa members for their tremendous dedication towards social responsibility. We always say that 'Urjaa' gives us Urjaa to work hard!"

संसाराच्या धकाधकीत घडाळ्याचे काटे पाडून जीवन जगणाऱ्या चाकरमानी महिलांनी प्रसिद्धीच्या झोतात न राहता समाजापोटी असलेले आपले दायित्व ओळखून स्वयंस्फूर्तीने समाजोपयोगी कार्याचा केलेला प्रारंभ म्हणजे समाजास मिळालेली आदर्शव्रत व अनुकरणीय बाब.

स्थापनेपासूनच प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण व याबाबत नागरिकांसाठी केवळ जनजागृती करता शहारातील टाकाऊ प्लास्टिक दरमहा गोळा करून तो इंधन निर्मितीसाठी जुन्नर येथे पाठविण्याची किमया त्यांनी केली. परिणामी गेल्या प्लास्टिक संकलनाचे वेळी सुमारे ३३ टन प्लास्टिक एकत्रित करून शहर प्लास्टिकमुक्त करण्यासाठी प्रारंभ यांनी केला ही अभिमानास्पद बाब आहे.

महिलांसाठी विविध व्याख्याने चर्चासत्रे आयोजन करणे आदिवासी तसेच खेड्यापाड्यातील गरजू विद्यार्थ्याना शालेय वस्तूंचे वाटप शहरातील विद्यार्थ्यांना आर्थिक मदत ही आपली विविध कार्य आपण जोमाने करीत आहोत. नागरी अभिवादन न्यासातर्फे शहरातील कार्यक्रमातही आपला सक्रीय सहभाग असतो.

"पर्यावरण रक्षणासाठी नोकरी करणाऱ्या काही महिलांनी एकत्र येऊन ' ऊर्जा ' ही संस्था स्थापन केली. ' माझा प्लास्टिक कचरा ही माझी जबाबदारी ' या संकल्पनेतून त्यांनी प्लास्टिक कलेक्शन चालू केले .व त्याचे पर्यावरणपूरक इंधनात रूपांतर करण्यासाठी ते पुण्यापर्यंत पाठवण्याची जबाबदारी स्वीकारली. हा उपक्रम गेली 3 वर्षे त्या सातत्याने आणि अत्यंत मेहनतीने करत आहेत हे खरंच कौतुकास्पद आहे.

"My association with Urjaa Foundation goes back to their first attempt when they decided to act on plastic waste menace in Thane and Dombivali. From there on they have never looked back be it educational support to needy, environment care, empowering women to name a few.
