Urjaa Foundation, Dombivli, in collaboration with Vishakha Library, has started a Reading Initiative at Siddharth School, Kalyan Chakki Naka, for students of Grades 1 and 5.

The initiative aims to revive the joy of reading among children in an increasingly digital world by creating a dedicated space and time for books. Through storytelling, reading aloud, conversations, games, songs and engaging activities, children are encouraged to explore books and develop a meaningful connection with reading.

Beyond reading, the initiative seeks to nurture imagination, sensitivity, equality, gender awareness and a broader understanding of the world through literature, history, science and non-fiction.

Let us put a book in our children’s hands along with the mobile phone—because the habit of reading is nurtured through encouragement, values and experience.
