Dnyanyadna Project
Education has been a very important objective of Urjaa Foundation. We started the “Dnyanyadna project” to achieve this objective. Under this project, it has been our endeavor to help needy children to complete at least their basic education. This aid is usually in the form of basic education kit of stationery like textbooks, guides, reference books, questions sets, holograms, barcodes, answer sheets, scientific instruments and other stationery materials. The schools that have been provided with this help this year were mostly from Wada and Palghar districts near Dombivli, a suburb of Mumbai. We help ZP government schools.
Urjaa Foundation had started Education Help with 2 Schools in the year 2015 and now we are at 24 Schools in the year 2024 rural areas of Maharashtra. Academic year 2024 till now we have helped:-
- 13 Schools and 5 ZP Schools of Wada, Shahpur, Palghar - over 2,000 Students from small Villages, Padas.
- 1 School from Jummapatti.
- 1 School from Murbad, Dombivli, Thane, Vasind respectively.
- 1 School from Varsoli, Alibaug
- Kranti nagar , Dombivli , 1st to 8 th Students.
We gave:-
- Long Books , Note Books, Drawing Books, Graph Books
- Stationery like Compass boxes, Pens, Steel Rulers , Erasers, Sharpeners,Pencils.
- English , Marathi and Hindi Grammar Books and Practice Books Sets.
- Cricket Kits.
Thanks to All the Individual Donors, and NGOs, Different Sansthas, helped Urjaa Foundation with their generous Donations.

Aid
School :
The type of aid required is identified and selected from schools that provide us with the requisite information on our “School General Information Form”. Scientific instruments like microscopes and other laboratory materials are also provided under this project to schools.
Annual fees are paid for the schools those are not having full aid from the state government. School uniforms, school bags, long books, notebooks, stationery, textbooks of 8 to 12 th standard, sports material is provided. We pay fees of needy students from various colleges and streams.
Workshops & Training : -- We conduct various workshops for the students. English, maths lectures are held.
- Handwriting workshop, craft and Diwali Diya workshop we held.
- Reading workshop is held to improve their reading skills.
College Students :
Aid in the form of part of the fees is also provided to college going students for their graduation in various streams like science, commerce, engineering since their parents are from the lower income groups of the society.
The students have to fill a comprehensive form “Application Form for Education Aid” and attach the requisite documents. These are then verified by our Committee and the amount of the aid is decided and disbursed. Till date, we have helped 7 students – one student pursuing his Degree in Computer Science; one student pursuing Instrumentation Engineering; one student was aided with his tutorial fees for 11th, 12th and IIT-JEE exams; two students pursuing their final year in Mechanical Engineering; one student pursuing Degree course of Engineering and one student was aided to pursue Master of Science in Chemistry (Papers). Out of these 7, we have aided 2 students again due to their excellent grades.
