Our members spend quality time and try to be a part of their family at different Organization’s where differently abled people are taken care of and conduct various activities with them to make them happy & keep them active.
They teach students & their parents, teachers craft work like artificial flower making, garland making so that they can make these items & showcase to the people visiting them. This is one of the fundraising resources for these organizations. This year we visited Jagruti Palak Sanghatna at Thane which is an organisation run by parents of mentally challenged children for such children.
Urjaa also helps them by giving them healthy food, fruits and requisite grocery. It shows Urjaa is committed to support such social activities which would bring deprived segments into the mainstream of the Society.
In 2017, one of our members who herself is an Audiologist donated hearing aids to Shruti Hearing Care, Dombivli for children from the lower income groups.
As a part of this objective, we have decided to visit Bharari Apangalay and Vriddhalay every two month as per the availability of members and spend time with the residents there to spread cheer in their life.
Ameya Palak Sanghatana Khoni-near Dombivli where we visit once six months. It is home for disabled people. Every 15th August, Independence Day we go there as a team and sing the National Anthem with them and play.
