My Plastic Waste Is My Responsibility !
In this series of seven arcles we will be sharing one arcle about the seven (7) types of Plasc we use, if every type of Plasc can be recycled !!!!
This is a journey to make Mankind & Environment Safe & hygienic place to Stay Healthy.
The best approach when it comes to plastic is to just avoid it. Alternatives to plastic are available everywhere. From Stainless steel, Brass, Glass water Bottles, Cloth Bags, Paper Bags to Bamboo Plates, Glasses, Plates & Garbage bags made of starch.
However the use of plastic is unavoidable sometimes. In that case there are a number of steps you can take in order to avoid any potential harmful effects due to Plastic.
- Avoid heating or freezing plastics. Exposing plastics to extreme heat or cold accelerates the leaching process. Use glass bowls, plates etc.
- Do not use plastic wraps in the microwave; instead, use wax paper. Never microwave plastic containers
- Always discard plastics after they show signs of wear, such as scratches, warping or discoloration.
- Never clean reusable plastic containers with hard utensil cleansers.
- Be wary about products that claim to be better because they use recycled plastic. These products may help the environment by reusing plastic but they are still composed of plastic and carry the same health risks.
- Don't reuse empty Plastic Shampoo Bottles, food containers, Single used or Plastic packaging Bags. Bubble packaging don't use for packing instead use Paper.
Very important !!!! Don't Buy Vegetables, flowers, fruits or any such goods in Plastic Bags, where eco friendly alternatives like Cloth or Paper Bags are available.
Don't throw used Plastic on roadsides, instead segregate as Dry Waste, give separately as part of Dry waste to the sweepeers. Corporations are collecting Dry & Wet waste separately. Just wash Plastic Milk Bags, Food Containers with water & add to Dry Waste.
